GAMES AND SPORT COMMITTEE

Kumbhalkar College of Social Work, Wardha run by RTM Technical & Education Society, Nagpur and affiliated to R.T.M. Nagpur University, Nagpur run BSW and MSW Course since 1993. Games & Sport Committee co-ordinator is Asitt. Prof. Rajesh B. Tandekar and member is senior Prof. Kishor S. Dhoble. Here is a possible Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for a Committee.

OBJECTIVES

1. To inspire students about co-curricular activities through annual gathering sport events.
2. To improve students participation in varied college, university, state, national games and sports.
To establish guidelines for the planning, organization, and execution of games and sports events.
This SOP applies to all games and sports events organized by the committee, affiliated university, college and Sahayog Clusters. Overall supervision and decision-making will be the responsibility of the committee convener. Committee Members will assist in planning, organization, and execution of varied sport and competitions. Hon. Principal of the college will be the secretary of the committee who will observe record-keeping, communication, and coordination.

PROCEDURE

1. Event Planning: committee identifies event objectives, target audience, and resources required. Then it set event dates, schedules, and venues. Convener plans event as per RTM Nagpur University, Nagpur format, rules, and regulations.
2. Team Selection: Committees establish selection criteria for participants. Conduct tryouts or selection processes and announce team selections.
3. Event Execution: Members set up event infrastructure, equipment, facilities, etc. They will also suggest event available transportation, accommodation facilities.
4. Safety and Emergency Procedures: committee ensure first aid and emergency services are available in the place and establish procedures for handling any injuries or incidents.
5. Communication: Committee promotes events through social media, posters and sends notifications to participants, officials, and spectators.
6. Evaluation: Committee conducts post-event evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
7. Documentation: Committee maintains records of event plans, reports, and evaluations.
8. Review and Revision: Committee review SOP annually or as needed and revise SOP to reflect changes or improvements.
This SOP provides a general framework for the Games and Sports Committee to follow. It can be modified to suit specific needs and requirements.
