Kumbhalkar College of Social Work, Wardha has been operational since the academic year 1993-94. The college offers B.S.W., M.S.W., and Ph.D. programs. As per the guidelines of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, a medical examination by a qualified medical officer is mandatory for students upon admission.
For many years, the college has appointed doctors to conduct these examinations. According to the circular issued by Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University, there are separate forms for male and female students. Students are required to complete these forms with their personal information, which is then reviewed by a qualified medical officer. If any health issues are identified, the concerned doctor provides the necessary recommendations to the students.
Starting from the academic session 2024-25, the college has appointed Dr. Rani Y. Kumbhalkar MBBS as the medical officer for student health examinations. Dr. Rani Y. Kumbhalkar's affiliation with our institution ensures that her services will be readily available to our students. Given that over 85% of the students are female, the appointment of a female doctor is aimed at providing a comfortable environment for female students to discuss and address their health concerns more openly and effectively.
